Sometimes there are painful parts of our story that we need to remember, not so that they cause even more trauma and pain and anger, but so that we remember where we came from and what God brought us out of
And so when the time comes that we can also encourage others with our own story of healing
It reminds me of Jesus after his resurrection when he shows up to the disciples and he has holes in his hands from where he was nailed to the cross
And you would\'ve thought that if God can raise him from the dead, surely he can heal the scars, right
It\'s like, why not have a fresh start
Well, here\'s why
Because his scars were telling a story, not just a story of pain and loss, but also a story of healing and overcoming what\'s true for Jesus
And it\'s also true for us that your scars are telling a story, a story of healing and redemption, a story that needs to be remembered, and a story that needs to be retold
