The harvest is a time to look back with thankfulness and to look forward with hope, considering all that God has done and will do, not just through our crops but through people, His people. As Jesus said, "Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." Let's pray to the Lord of the harvest to raise up workers and send them out into His field. "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few."

This Labor Day, thank God for the work he has called us to - to build, to plant, to shape, and to serve. Thank Him for the hands, minds, and hearts we use to honor His design and bless one another. As we take a moment to rest, ask God to restore and renew our bodies and minds for the work ahead of us, and to remind us that our identity is not found in what we produce, but who we belong to.
