When somebody hurts you, what do you do
Damage has been done
There\\\'s a price to be paid and someone has to pay it
There are two paths you can take
One is vengeance
Make them pay for what they did, hurt them
However you can
This might make you feel better for a short time, but in the end, your heart will only grow colder
The other path, the path that Jesus calls us to is forgiveness
Forgiveness is hard
It means refusing to demand payback
Instead, you lay down your right to revenge and suffer the cost yourself releasing the one who hurt you
How do we find the strength to do this
We can do this because Jesus showed us the way on the cross
Jesus paid the ultimate price to forgive you instead of demanding payback for your sin against him
Jesus paid the debt himself and it hurt to the point of death
But Jesus death led to resurrection
And when you forgive, when you die to yourself, that death will also lead to resurrection
True forgiveness always involves suffering
It may even feel like death, but remember, Jesus brings the dead to life

Love One Another

1:50

This meaningful video starts with the beautiful example of love of Jesus washing his disciples' feet, followed by his command in John 13:34... "Love one another as I have loved you." Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 10:24, Romans 12:16, and other scriptures are then displayed as examples of what it ought to look like when we love one another, since "we are members of one another, in the body of Christ." (Romans 12:5)

Storms

1:19

In the Bible, faith usually leads us through the difficulty, not around it. It was Jesus who sent His disciples and Himself into the storm. He knew full well what they were walking into and He sent them anyway. For those stormy moments in life, remember, maybe God has you there for a reason... Maybe there's a purpose for your pain that you can't see. Just because the wind is against you doesn't mean God is against you.

God Has a Name

2:00

The name of God, "I Am Who I Am", is the name of hope. That name is the answer to a thousand weaknesses and insecurities that we all face all the time. Whatever you are not, "I Am". Whatever you need, "I Am". Whatever you did not receive from your parents, whatever you're not receiving from your marriage, whatever you're not getting from anybody, "I Am." So when life reminds you of everything that you're not, remember the name of God who says, "I Am."

Treasures in Heaven

2:00

Storing up treasure in heaven means leveraging your time, talent, and your treasure so that more people know Christ, grow in Christ and are with Christ forever. And Jesus is flipping our view of treasure completely upside down: In the world, we use people to get treasure, but in the church, we use treasure to get people. You might not have cash to make some crazy investment opportunity, but when you invite people to church and you share the gospel with friends and you pray for coworkers and family members, and you make time for life-giving Christ-centered relationships, remember this truth: People are the only treasure you can take with you into eternity.
