Today, we pause… not just to say thank you…But to remember… the cost of peace
Because real peace has been fought for in distant places, and paid for in long nights
It’s been earned through hard goodbyes, and quiet sacrifices most of us will never see
Ordinary people… who willingly made an extraordinary choice for all of us
They don’t all look like heroes
They look like neighbors
Teachers
Parents
And Friends
They didn’t do it for recognition
They never asked for applause
They just said yes
Yes to early mornings and long deployments
Yes to distance from the people they love
Yes to risk and sacrifice, and yes… to carrying a weight most of us will never feel
So today, we honor those who chose courage when comfort would have been easier, who gave their strength, their time, and for some… everything — so that others could live in freedom
We remember what the Bible says, “Greater love has no one than this: than to lay down one’s life for his friends
” And we believe every act of service echoes that kind of sacrificial love
A love that puts others first
Not because they were fearless: but because they were faithful
Faithful to a mission
Faithful to a team
Faithful to something bigger than themselves;
Faithful to the kind of life that Jesus calls us to
So today, we give thanks: for those who served, and for the Savior who gave everything to bring us peace…
Happy Veterans Day
