A new school year is beginning


New classrooms
New challenges
New opportunities
And today, as a church, we want to pause and speak a blessing over every student, school worker, and family
For the students, may the Lord give them calm hearts, curious minds, and the courage to try new things
May they have joy in the process of learning, perseverance in the face of difficulty, and confidence… in who God made them to be
For the teachers, may they be strengthened to prepare lessons, to grade papers, and to empower and encourage their students
And for all the school workers, may they remember that their work is changing the hearts, minds, and lives of the next generation
For the parents and families: May God give them wisdom, patience, and energy for the long year ahead
Lord, go before us this school year
In the successes and struggles, the ups and downs, the growth and the change
Protect us, guide us, and help us to shine your light wherever we go
