What does it mean when we lift our hands in worship
Lifting our hands is a biblical command
Psalm 134 - Lift up your hands in the holy place and praise the LORD
This physical posture is an invitation from God
to express our heart’s posture before him
Maybe we’re like A child seeking comfort from a father
In a time of need,
or a season of sadness
We lift our hands to our Heavenly Father
Knowing he is there eager to embrace us
Maybe we relate to A soldier surrendering on the field of battle
In a moment of pride
or a moment of failure
We throw up our hands in surrender
to the will of a sovereign and good King
Or maybe we identify with an athlete triumphant in victory
Not because of our strength
Or our accolades
But because we are coheirs with Christ
Who defeated death, hell and the grave
What is your heart\\\'s posture before God
Lift your hands, and praise the LORD
